The challenge
Defining the SMA Advisor Hub strategy required close collaboration with the GSAM product team and cross-functional stakeholders, including product and portfolio managers. This work was carried out alongside a concurrent rebrand and platform redesign, requiring careful alignment across efforts. Deliverables were structured to balance advisor needs with brand consistency and long-term scalability. They established a clear foundation for expanding tools and capabilities in support of GSAM’s SMA initiative.
Our impact
We delivered a strategic experience blueprint and initial tool architecture to scale GSAM’s $191 billion direct indexing business—the largest SMA footprint in the U.S.—and its continued global expansion. In partnership with GSAM, we defined the experience vision and information architecture for the hub, including a Fixed Income SMA builder, portfolio transfers, reporting, ESG impact analysis, and tools to help advisors assess client opportunities using GSAM’s funds.
